Through all the RPG's I've played over the years, Chrono Trigger has easily emerged as the most fascinating and in-depth story line of them all - with rare exceptions (FFVII, Mass Effect 2 included amongst those exceptions).
And while it certainly isn't the only game to have multiple endings for the user to discover, it's certainly one of the few games that makes achieving those endings a little more in depth then a conversation choice. Also, especially in terms of specific endings - throughout the Mass Effect series you make decisions that ultimately effect which ending you'll receive - but you won't find "Tali's" ending, or one tailored to Garrus standing on top of a mountain gunning down hundreds of Geth. Chrono Trigger featured endings for every playable character. That was bad ass.
